For your Gravitation Group, I imagine that they have already studied Section 4 of Carroll Notes. In thirty pages, he presents a good introduction to Gravitation, although he admits that it is just an introduction, and he leaves the deeper math for "later Advanced Courses" and/or from the Bibliography which he provides.

I am aware that I had sometimes been pretty critical of some of your Members comments, as I was working from an environment like Carroll's. I know that your "Gravitation Group" aspired to "understand gravitation". Carroll notes that his text is pretty much the entire semester course, so it has recently dawned on me that your Gravitation Group Members hay not have had an available Semester to study Carroll's work. I like that he has a sense of humor.

If any of you finnd this to be too "simple" I could recommend some more advanced texts.
