Dear all,
I am glad to tell you that I have found the equation for the fine structure
constant.
It is this equation:
cos(1/α)=1/e
One root for this equation is:
1/α= 137.036007939215
And acoording CODATA the value is:
137.035999139215
the error is:
0.00000642%
This means, the equation more probably ok.
I attach you the comeplte entry in my Reserachgate:
https://www.researchgate.net/project/Calculation-of-the-fine-structure-constant
Found it!!! cos(1/α)=1/e ; This gives 1/α=137,036007939215 ; Error:
0.00000642%
The solution is:
cos(1/α)=1/e
As the cosine function is periodic, this has infinite roots, but one of the
roots is 1/α= 137.036007939215 (last 5 is rounded) whereas the CODATA value
is: 137.035999139215.
This means an error of 0.00000642%.
Another way of putting the equation is:
cos( α^(-1))=exp(-1)
Or the more elegant and symmetric:
exp(i/α)-exp(-1)=-exp(-i/α)+exp(-1)
I will write a paper regarding this and keep you informed.
Thanks a lot and best regards,
Jesus Sanchez
